This Month's Haul - February, 2014

What is it?

First-person shooting/slashing. It supports the mouse, too.

Is that the superfami version of Shien's Revenge? Never played it, looked like Shinobi's bonus level stretched out into a boring game.

Metal Storm is easily one of the best NES games ever, it's ridiculous how awesome that game is. Maybe one day I'll even see a real copy.

Yeah. I don't think there are any gameplay differences between the import and domestic versions. I'm fine with skipping past a bit of story in Japanese. I don't find it boring but I like these kind of shooters more than most do.

metalstorm has me wanting to buy other nes games I never got.

ducktales, chip and dale, GI Joe, The Guardian Legend, skytropics

Probably going to learn how to make my own, some of this stuff is still just too expensive. Like DQ 3 or 4

The Guardian Legend can probably still be found for under $10.

I'm glad I kept my Metal Storm over the years.

All that stuff is sub-$10 except maybe GI Joe. I'd be amazed if anyone's attention span can hold through NES DQ these days.

I tried DQ4 on DS, it was so bad.

Cosmic Ark and Kaboom (but only with actual paddle controllers) are the only 2600 games I could still play. Maybe Phoenix.
