Best Way to Cover a Classic Game

Also, I'm curious. How many people here consider getting the chaos emeralds the true and only way to say you really beat a sonic game?

IMO if you beat the levels and bosses, you beat it. My kid brain always saw the emeralds and filler.

Similarly, in ghouls and ghost, do you think you have to beat the game twice and see the real ending to beat it, or was beating it one time enough?

I ask, because looking back, it is interesting how little kids come to conclusions on this stuff on their own. I'm curious to hear how your kid brains approach that stuff.

I thought of it as two tiers of beating the game. Playing through all the levels is beating it. Getting the good ending is fully beating it. The previous sentence also applies to masturbation

What's the problem with the Earthbound vids? I'm digging them. Definitely not as cool as having the creative directors from the games sitting on the couch with them, but this dude is clearly obsessed and a good interpreter IMO. Down to earth, too. Every time I've tried to start Mother 1 the random battles piss me off so bad. That was more of a look than I'll probably ever get myself.
