Gonna trade in our 4S tomorrow for another $100, and upgrade to a 6.

Was there any coupon, or special thing needed for this? My kid is using my wife's old 4 and am thinking of turning it into a kindle fire.

Nope. Just go to Customer Service, and they'll do it there as a trade-in. You might get someone who isn't familiar with the deal, though, so if they say your phone is worth less than $100, make sure the continue the process to get the full amount.

And, to be clear, you DO NOT need to put it toward a new phone. If they say you have to, they're wrong.

Did you need the charger?

Nope. All I have them was the phone, totally erased, on the "plug into iTunes" screen, and with no SIM card.

I just got the $100 for an old 3gs.

Got the runaround from the customer service desk, sending me to the mobile area which had a line of like 30 people waiting for phone help, which would have taken literally hours. Finally I asked the right person about just doing a got-dang trade in and she was like "lol those customer service guys are assholes of course we can help you" and they hooked me up right away at a register in the back.
