I'm going to preemptively say that I hate the Wheeler for Jay Bruce trade too. OFs hitting ~.260 are a dime a dozen. Why in the hell would you trade high level pitching talent for one?
Hell, where is he going to play? You're probably not sitting Granderson or Lagares, so is Bruce going to keep Conforto's spot warm until he gets some more experience in the minors? Is that worth Wheeler and potentially tens of millions of dollars?
edit: It's almost like Alderson knows he screwed the pooch on Tulowitzki, and now he's just trying to do something for the sake of doing something.
Jays bolster bullpen with Mark Lowe from Mariners. Wonder who got sent...
When did I become a Yankees fan holy shit. Tulo, Price, Lowe and now Ben Revere. THE BLUE JAYS ARE COMING THE BLUE JAYS ARE COMING!
Apparently you guys are in on Cespedes. I hope that's true.
Edit: Confirmed!
Dan Haren to Cubs.
Now that's a deal that makes sense. Depending on Conforto's development, they can choose to try to re-sign Cespedes this winter or not.

Cespedes is due to make $4-5 million between now and the end of this season, after which he can be a free agent. However, according to how his contract was structured, he is not able to be offered a qualifying offer.
The Mets will send minor league pitchers Michael Fulmer and Luis Cessa to the Tigers in the deal, according to Joel Sherman. Fulmer was listed was the Mets No. 7 prospect, and Cessa was the No. 16 prospect, according to MLB.com.
edit: This is what I'm talking about:

Cespedes is third among MLB outfielders with 48 extra-base hits this season, with Mike Trout and Bryce Harper ahead of him.
Fuck Gomez and Bruce. Also...
Quote:
Cespedes has hit more home runs this month (eight) than all of the Mets' right-handed hitters combined (six).
Cespedes!!! I like this move!!! Kelly Johnson and Juan Uribe are fine bench/part timers and Cespedes is super legit and a major upgrade for that lineup. Travis d'Arnaud is back and hopefully can stay healthy and provide some nice offense. Duda is back to hitting homers which is nice to see too.
