I don't hold Big Trouble in Little China in the same high regard as a lot of people do...it's a fun movie, but it's just okay (the best John Carpenter movie is still The Thing, which is brilliant). But this still seems all kinds of wrong.

Unfortunately, Carpenter's writing/directing skills totally shit the bed in his later years. He gets a lifetime pass for The Thing and Escape from NY, however.
