I just started playing on B.net the other day. Unfortunately I suck major ass. My build orders tend to be slow and my micro seems to be very awful on b.net. I still enjoy the game even with all the rushes that seem to destroy me... plus I'm learning a lot more!
I sure as fuck didn't save that replay. That shit was depressing ;).
Everyone sucks when they start on b.net. Practice makes perfect.

Just played a 52 minute game and I won. But I'm kinda bummed. It was all my partner. He saved my ass at least three times, saving some important buldings, but my income was totally destroyed. It took forever to get back up and running. Even then I was all unorganized and didn't really kick ass at the end like I should have. I went chimeras and was pestering them relentlessly, I took out a lot of buldings. I had quite the force at the end, but I was kinda just sitting there. For some stupid reason I didn't want to charge in. I can't figure out why. So at the end my allie zeplin dropped into the last base and I sent some chimeras in for some zapping action. Meanwhile my army is standing at the front of the base doing nothing.
Anyone else have the problem where you will click to use an item, and it doesn't work? You hear the click sound, but it doesn;'t activate. And sometimes my army would move all stupid, in some cases just stopping by a wall.

Second row, first one. Me and Stibbons (BlastProcess) are rushed, we beat them back and then destroy them. Great game.
That replay above is the ideal "stop whining about rushes, you just suck" replay. I had absolutely NO fighting units other than my hero. The only units we had were Rumpy's. The other two teams rush me, Rumpy teleports in, and my towers beat them to the ground. We beat two early rushers with a few towers and just Rumpy's units.
Towers > rushes. This replay proves it.
God I love this game.
Well, that's cool you can make it work. My friends and I have repelled many rushes ourselves. Average and below rushers tend to neglect their base and production while they attack, so if they're repelled, they're way behind. Plus, on some maps, it's just not advantageous to rush (takes too long to get rush force there; traveling time negates rush advantage).
Towers are definitely a good rush equalizer, plus the fact that your buildings can bring more units into the fray. However, tower rushes and AM rushes are pre-tower, and often, if you spend too much money on towers, your force is easily beaten. Opponents can wait outside of tower range and prevent you from expanding. Also, with orcs, enemies can goad you into your burrows, then back off...as soon as you go back to work, they attack again...very frustrating and difficult to beat without partners (plus, you sorta feel like an ass when you're doing it to someone else...but not too much; you are winning after all!). One thing that annoys me is the riskiness of certain strategies. Many times, after losing several mid-map battles, we'll attack an enemy base and find *no* defensive structures; which explains why they had the unit advantage in skirmishes. Many times we don't realize this until the game is already in there favor. Plus, I'm not sure if the advantage of having 1 well-defended expansion is greater than having 2 0-defended expansions that I often see used by other players. I guess it'll take some figuring.
For the record, I don't think rushing in general is cheesy. AM rushing, tower rushing, keeper/entangle rushing, land mines, and huntress massing are all pretty lame though (more that it works, not so much that people do it; I expect people to do whatever grants wins easiest). Granted, Undead players who tower themselves in and mass Frost Wyrms are cheesy too; it's just that that strategy is easily beatable. Most cheesy tactics are one-dimensional, and can be countered with some scouting (i.e. mass polymorph/possess).
