I finished the story tonight, so now I'm going to start preping up for the optional dungeons and the like.

Just some healthy advice - after level 4 of the Maze of Tribulations, always go back and save after you complete each level. I can't tell you how many hours I wasted going full steam ahead, only to lose at a cheap random encounter or get slughtered by the boss of the dungeon.

I learned this lesson from Star Ocean 2.

I was good enough to read this whole, dramatic thread, but I still need some questions answered.

1. Can you select Japanese voices?
2. How does the 2-player work? I don't just mean the versus mode...someone told me a second player could control one of the party members during battles.

It is unfortunately not possible to control another character with a second player. If that were possible I would have beaten Freya a long time ago.

And yes, you can change the voices if you want...I think. It's been a while, heh.

No Japanese voices at all - only English. You can turn the voices off if you like, however.

Right, you're right. I had thought otherwise because I remember you can have english subtitles.

I really gotta take up my "kill Freye" crusade again.

I haven't even finished the Maze of Tribulations yet, I just need to get all the goody weapons in the maze and then head to beat Gabriel Celesta.

Are you sure? This dude insisted a second player could just jump in and play someone in the party. Was there another game where you could do that (ToS)? -maybe he was just confused.

Yes, that would be ToS. You are speaking of the Single player right? I played Symphonia co-op on disc 2 with my cous and it was mad fun.

I tried Star Oceans multiplayer and it's pretty average, since there are only 2 players [mano e mano] going at it instead of the 3 on 3 I thought it would be. I was hoping I could beef up my characters and then make them go up against my friends save file, or something like that.
