I'll pass. Yet another Sega game I dont like.
That review reminded me a lot of a Morrowind review I read a while back on another site. In fact, it was just about the same concept.
But anyway, I enjoyed that Gungrave review. It managed to give the positives and negatives all at once, or something.
Someone needs to kick that :)'s ass.
But yes, very nice review.
Quite an entertaining read.
I'll look forward to playing the actual game, just to see which Doktor's prognosis was accurate.
Great review! Good representation of the different ways of thinking, eh?
Thats what i call a good review damnit.
I can't wait to play this bad boy, and i know the anime will Rock Cock.

My animosity towards GunGrave grows stronger every time I hear Contra in the same breath. There's NOTHING similar about the two. Let alone GunStar...

Heh, good review. I like when people get creative like that. I will say that I wanted to punch Good Doktor in his little Joe Mainstream face though.
That said, maybe if I had a PS2 I would care, but.........................
It was like a fight between an IGN poster and a TNL poster.
Nicely done, but...
"Nostalgia kills brain cells, son. Dig up your old copy of Contra and see how much fun you have playing it now -- this stuff doesn't wash in the 21st century. "
Like hell it doesn't. I still love playing Contra. Its so pure and fun !!

Well, Good Doktor just lost all his credibility with me in that statement :pQuote:
See, your problem is that you're trying to judge a modern game by the standards of the past. Why the hell are you comparing this to Gunstar Heroes? That game's eight years and two console generations old now. We should be demanding more from games these days, no matter what the genre.
If "demanding more" of our games nowadays means it becomes more of an interactive movie ala MGS2 than an actual game, forget about it. There will always be a niche for these old skool, twitch shmup games. I for one hope they never go away as long as video games exist :)
