I had the exact opposite experience. Buying a Neo Geo while I was in the dorms was an awesome move. Late night SS2, SS4 and KOF97 sessions all the time. Our dorm had a huge Sony monitor (40+ inches) with RGB input, too nice. Some great gaming memories that year :)Quote:

Metal_Slug, there is a man who hangs at shmups.com called Matt. He is an RGB genius and can fill you in on all you need to know(if you ask him nicely ;op) about hooking up all of your consoles to the 1084. I got my monitor from him and he even sent me a Saturn cable! Now if only I was in school or in some sort of unfulfilling 9 to 5 situation in which I'd actually have... what's that caled again?.... I heard those 1084s commodore monitors burn out pretty quick. :D
(Why don't you just get a tv with support for rgb cables?) I remember I used to use mine to play snes games. (mmm SF hyper fighting in bright colours) Lasted about 3-4 years after I got it cheap second hand from someone.

1.) Do not want a new TV.
2.) Do not have money for a new TV.
3.) Do not need a new TV.
4.) The 1084 was much cheaper and I never intended to get into this RGB stuff to begin with.

Unless you're living in Europe and Japan, TVs with RGB support are hard to come by. Unless you're talking about component video, which only the PS2, XBox and GC (?) support.Quote:
