The combat is like Soul Reaver on crack.
Using Kuzo is a very cool twist.
The Arenas are completely addicting.
The presentation, soundtrack, and voice acting are all fantastic. In fact, the entire look of the game (the architecture, character models, landscape, so on) is just wonderful. And I LOVE how the levels load, the animation filling in before your eyes...

I've only played the first level, so I haven't done any stealth or archery yet, but even if the rest of the game was only hack & slash, I'd be more than happy. The fact that there's more new gameplay to be had makes it all the sweeter.

A definite sleeper (why wasn't it advertised more?), and one of the best I've played this year. Thanks for all the earlier threads, guys!

No problem! Glad to see you like it. Just wait till you start unlocking some of Rau's cooler costumes. Right now I use the Hawaiian mask/grass pants one. Colorful, but in a manly, "I'm gonna shove my blade through your chest over and over again" kind of way.

And I love the culture mixes they purpotrated. The feel of a Viking mead hall as the hub, with native American and Pacific island influences. It's amazing to me that they mesh so well. And Rau's costumes are from all over the world, but maintain that same scandanavian/island/native American feel. Truely a work of art this game is. And I haven't even started gushing about the gameplay yet. :D

I really enjoyed the game up until the last level, then I felt it really went to ass. Too repetitive.

The first game tells the story of Rau and his relationship with the dark spells, while the others flesh out and conclude his fate. Wow. How cool, uh? We can barely wait to play the first one! Of course, SCEA will watch and see how well the first one performs before green lighting them, but these should indeed happen.

Good choice Bio, I myself enjoyed this game alot, and will pick it up next time I have the chance. Another quality title on PS2 and fun one at that :)

God I just love going into the arena and just going nuts with the battleaxe. Its mesmerizing, drool-inducing fun :D

I played the demo up until the fighting started. 2 minutes later I was loading another demo. I thought the game was booooriiiinnngg...

They were right not to waste ad money on this turd. I bet it sells worse than Ico.

I really like this game, it's combat system is Soul Reaver done right, and that's very high praise comming from me.

Is the demo amazingly different from the real game, cause I saw no similarity or reason to compare anything to SR, even controls... SR controlled perfect btw.
