I think Virtual On Force would be happiest on the Cube...but that's just me.

I wouldn't mind it on Cube either, but after seeing videos of it, I think Xobx has the umph to push it, and i dunno if cube could, but thats just me.
On a side note: SEGA, where's my Planet Harriers port!?
You could be right. I haven't seen vids of it yet...
Give 'em time. I'm going to say that it's safe to assume that Hitmaker wants to wait until the final version of Force is released. Currently, it's already gone through three versions in the arcades; 7.5, 7.6, and 7.7.Quote:
By the way, I will become an instant fanboy for the console that receives a home conversion of VO:Force. Come on, Hitmaker!!
...Anyway, I have some semi-official "news" about Force on a console... Well, not really, but it's kinda close. It goes something like this:
- Someone named "Quad" starts coding Netplay Extensions for US VOOT. Yes, he plans on giving US VOOT nice TCP/IP Netplay. Here's the site: http://voot.sf.net. Anyway, he happens to do some other things, in the process. He releases debug pictures of all kinds of weird things, like playing as Bratdos on the Floating Carrier (you can download a replay of this!), and loading custom colors in US Single Player.
- Hitmaker knows about what he's doing. And they don't seem to care. "They" (I'm not positive of who, exactly) told him not to use the Dricas netplay drivers. That's it. They're fine with what he's doing.
- Checking his referrer logs, Quad finds that people have been linked to his site(s) from a certain URL... An internal Hitmaker Forum URL that happens to end in "/VO4PS2/". Of course, no-one outside of Hitmaker can view it. This would go hand-in-hand with various PS2 announcement rumors.
...That's about as official as I can get, sadly.
The thread at VirtualOn.net that contains this:

I was going to bring up the VO4PS2 stttuff, but since I didn't know specifics, I let Tain do it ^_^
Cool! Thanks for the rumors. :D
I really hope they'll either release it on the X-Box, or on all the consoles.
I cannot live with only a PS2 version of Force. VF4 only on PS2? Eh, okay. Force? NO.
...Oh, and here's another tidbit of coolness. First, the game uses a card system, like VF4. You buy a card, and it keeps track of your rank, and how you play. When you're finished with the card, however, you can turn it into an AI card. The AI card will can then be used as a computer-controlled VR partner that plays based on what was recorded onto the card before it was "expired". Something like VF4's AI system, but not quite. Still, it's an awesome idea.
So techincally you dont need a partner, you cn just load the AI off your card so its like 2 yous playing when only one of you is truly there?
Also, does VOOT learn from you? I swear it does, its started doing stuff recently that I've never seen the computer do before.
Well, the AI won't be near perfect, obviously, but it will probably resemble your playing style in one way or another.Quote:

I'm pretty sure it doesn't. I could be wrong, but I doubt it learns.Quote:

...That said, I remember reading that VOOM's Stage 1 Temjin actually learns. I'm not sure if that's true or not, though. Heh, probably yet another omission in the horrid Saturn port.
Tain, if you still need a place to upload those VO:Force vids, shoot me an e-mail and I can set you up.
