I hate renting games, and for some bizarre reason, renting the game tends to lessen the experience (assuming I even take the rented game out of the box -- I often wind up not even playing them for whatever reason).
I can't say Turok automatically warrants a purchase, since it's a bit weird looking and a rough aound the edges. But, I'm having a lot of fun with it and I'm sure I'll get my $40 worth of entertainment out of it. That's what counts.
