Does Turok have a co-op mode like Halo?
Nope. Single player and competitive mulitplayer only. Looks like you'll have to wait for Brute Force for more Xbox co-op play.Quote:

I have the GBA version now, as well as the PS2 version. I like the game as a whole, but there are a few problems. The graphics are a little too dark for the unlit GBA screen, like Castlevania was last year. Also, if you begin shooting before pressing down then you shoot downwards, but if you press downwards first then you kneel and shoot. It's kind of annoying to have to control the game just right like that - sometimes I find myself shooting downwards while getting sliced or shot by enemies when I mean to kneel and fire. Finally, the game doesn't use a battery backup, using passwords instead.
Other than those things, I think the game is a good little shooter in the vein of Contra and Midnight Resistance. [I didn't say Metal Slug this time :) ]
So has anyone beat it yet?
John: The characters in the Turok games are Tal 'Set, the Turok in the original N64 game and Evolution, Joshua, the decendent of Tal 'set and Turok in Turok 2, Joseph (Joshua's nephew) and Joshua's sister are the playable characters in Turok 3 (which starts btw with Joshua being murdered). The storyline of the games is that there's another realm called the lost lands, and it's home to both good and evil, and all kinds of things from all over time. Each generation the title of Turok is given to someone, who's job it becomes to preserve peace in the lost lands by using fucked up weapons to mutilate their enemies. Basically the plot of all the games is bad shit from the lost lands is trying to take over or destroy the world, so Turok has to kill everyone.
Does the frame rate change much toward the end of the game?
The web journal I write for has some impressions of the game here:

I suggest that anyone wanting this game read the article before driving to the store. Scary stuff.

well to quote some thing from your site
"With all the lack of detail in the environments, you’d think the game would be running at a pretty solid framerate. However, even the GCN one runs at approximately 15-20fps with a few rare instances of slowdown."
ummmm NO
even IGN has the GC version running at 60 FPS
i love how people think they can count frames persecond
so how many of you can count to sa y 10 or heck 30 in less than a second............... well ................. anyone
In Stunt Race FX for SNES it's pretty easy to count the frames per second, but other than that I'd have to say no.
