Finally increased my arcade score after a long draught (I actually did it three times in a row tonight, with 26.9 mil, 27.1 mill, and then finally the below 27.9 mill), despite having one of the worst C3 scores I've gotten in ages. I died once in C3 and once at the end on the diamond. BUT, I got a new PB on C4 with a 189 chain, which was nice. I didn't break the chain on any of the other levels besides C3.

The easiest is to either watch a super play video (there are a few out here) or check FAQs. The beginning of chapter 3 looks tough but once you know when to release missiles it's a piece of cake.

after a few months of other games and sucking at ikaruga i finally pulled out a new high. had one run where i died with 12.5 mil early on chap 4, which is like my best evar at that point. a few tries later i finally get to chapter 5...and die once on the easiest part of the boss. then my last on the 2nd form which i was damn close to killing. oh well new high and finally unlocked everything for practice.
