I take my shoes off all the time. I was raised that way, its common in most Asian societies. Plus, I'm more comfortable bare-foot.
Although if I go to a house party where people are all wearing their shoes, I'll keep my shoes on.
Quack, translated as of coarse I do!, unless it's tile or wood, then I keep 'em on.
Why the hell would you leave them on? It just gets dirt in the house, you wear shoes when you go outside. I never wear shoes in anyones house nor mine, no reasone to. Its not like I am running the mile in my bedroom, or have to worry about walking on gravel in my kitchen. No reason to wear shoes in a house.
at home, i never take of my shoes immediately... i just almost always eventually take them off for comfort's sake
... at someone elses house, i'll take them off it they ask me to, but otherwise, i usually leave them on
... i'll also take them off if i walk into a friend's house and they take off their shoes... i'd just assume that i'm supposed to
... oh, and i always take them off if they're excessively dirty
