Anyone getting Animal Crossing?

Well, I remember some people talking about this before, and out of nowhere, the review is up at IGN, and I assume it's out.

After reading the review, the game seems like the perfect "girlfriend game" (which some of us have, and can be useful), but the classic NES library, the consistent world that can be manipulated by multiple players, and the sheer uniqueness of it seem really compelling. However, the graphics are pretty lame, and with all the other stuff coming out, I'm not sure if it's worth it. Any impressions from you guys, or any of you planning on getting it?

Dear lord am I ever thankful my ex just loved to play Doom... I would be scared if she wanted to play this. It looks like a great game, I'll definitely give it a go soon.

I definatly plan to get it. It sounds hella fun. The graphics are not fantastic, but the dialog between characters from what i've read is pretty funny.

Apparently its internal clock demands some pretty regular play sessions to keep it going. I dunno if I can manage that. So I dunno if I'll get it right away. It does sound really cool though.

I reserved it last weekend. I'm that on top of things. :p
I'm jazzed about this game. It sounds cool and although the graphics aren't too hot, the precise sounds like a blast to me. The NES games are just a bonus in my eyes. :)
Anyway, the 16th? I thought next week for some silly reason. Then Final Fantasy III here I come! :D

But too much else right now... this holiday season is killer.

If it requires lots and lots of time right off the bat, I'll wait until a lull. Don't have that kinda time.
