I remember back in 1998 here in Houston, there was a cricket plauge (belive me, it was a plauge... there were millions just swarming everything- outside a local Borders bookstore they would cover the walls near the ceilings).
If you just drove down the road you would kill at least a hundred of them.
So, one day late at night some guys with pressure washers went to a shoping center (where the crikets were wont to hang out... I guess it was all the bright parking lot lights) and began thier insectile holocaust. It was pretty entertaining watching it actually. They'd get up to in to corners where the crickets were concentrated and just let fly with gallons of water at 200 psi. It was sooo cool.
