Michael Owen is my fav player from Liverpool. In my opinion, he's the reason England got as far as the did in World Cup '02. But I'll have to agree with you, I hope Liverpool beats Chelsea.Quote:

Micheal Owen is a god though. ;)
I dislike Chelsea more than Liverpool, especially since Abramovich bought the team.Quote:

At least they have Guðjonsen. ;)
I don't think Owen will ever live up to his potential.
He's not the pure goalscoarer of Van Nistelroy, nor the skilled player of Dennis Bergkamp. He gets injured far too much to do anything of note.
Still a great player, just not as good as he could have been or was supposed to be.
What a bizarre thread to bump, but I get the point about the Chelski T-shirt. Maybe I will purchase...
I think Chelsea have a very realistic chance of grabbing third place this season, but I am a little worried about the first match at Liverpool. Not because of pre-season results (which have been ok) but because even since then, we've bought another shed-load (geddit????) of players.
Adding Bridge and Duff to the team, no issues of them not gelling. But replacing half the midfield and whacking Mutu in? It's going to be an interesting match...
Now if you'd said Henry or Gianfranco Zola instead of Bergkamp I'd have agreed, but for all his skill, he didn;t score enough goals last season for my liking.Quote:
