By Fight Club, do you mean something like the SNK War Room HERE? The problem with Topic Areas dedicated to members feuding amongst themselves is that eventually it starts drawing in people from the 'Net that have no interest in the Forum at large, but just want to talk trash and make a name for themselves. We used to have a large number of members that Posted only in the War Room, and it began to spill out into the other Forums, until I was finally given leave to terminate them with extreme prejudice. The place got cleaned up a bit when we deleted everything except the most recent Posts, and I now axe anyone making their initial Posts in there.

Quite frankly, I think this site is better off without a place like that.

'Twas something similar that drove several nails into Fight Club's coffin. Long-time members of the GameFan community came out of the wood work and old wounds were opened. FC brought in a few poseurs with a history and the bickering commenced. Personally, I thought that was what FC was for, but a whole bunch of feathers got ruffled, and the atmosphere soured.

I like the idea of the board, but in practice, some took too much relish in personal attacks and some just couldn't stand the heat and got all up-in-arms. If we could fairly and efficiently keep out those who seem to exist solely to bicker and degrade themselves and others, I would gladly reinstate Fight Club.

I agree with BioMotor. There is no need for Fight Club. It's home to some of the most worthless discussions (if you can even call them that) and ughh... It's just worthless.

Overall I have no problems here at TNL. It's a good community with many good posters. The bickering that goes on turns me off, but in comparsion to other places it's not bad. I can't think of any problems myself - you don't like someone you can ignore them. Avoid threads that anger you. Keep up the good work all here, I'll still come here.

People get mad, peole are passive, then ethugg comes along and everyone, if for only a few minutes, works for a common goal. To dismember and desecrate ethugg's corpse before getting back to fighting eachother...




and in ethugg's horribly dismembered corpse, there we find hope for the future, when cloning is an art form, not an experiment, we can make millions of clones of ethugg, and brutally dismemeber them whenever there is tension.

yo. I found some of the most worthwhile discussions in Fight Club.
Granted, I rarely looked in the odd role-playing fight topics or
the Fuck you! "comedy" threads. but I think I stopped in there
almost as much as I did in general gaming. However, considering
how it was by the time it was removed, I don't know if I'd like
to see it again~

Right. Rezo? FC was home to some great discussion. Especially when it came to Gehn and Revoltor (RIP, little buddies).

I think anybody with a laundry list of complaints is looking at things the wrong way... there's really nothing wrong with this TNL community. People are generally intelligent and alright, and even if there are trolls, we can count the number of them on one, possibly two hands.

I mean... cmon, if you have beef with some things about this board, just go to EGM or GameFAQs.

This is, to me, just a community for people to talk about whatever, to kill some time during the day, maybe make some friends and maybe get some good deals or whatever out of it.

In short, I have no problem with it because having a problem with it would be stupid.
