I second Sam and Max though... anyone who doesn't love that game is completely lacking in any sense of humor whatsoever.

but what's the ruling on games we haven't played? Shouldn't this be "a game we all like", not "a game we all don't hate?". If you haven't played a game, you can't like or hate it, so you'll vote no on the former and possibly default to yes on the latter.
I think we need to find a game we all have played and liked. So that takes this from impossible to "more likely to sprout wings and fly away" impossible, but still. So if someone hasn't played a game, it's out. That's my take on it anyway.

I think we should be able to eliminate games that we haven't played if we know enough about them to dislike them, but not ones we just haven't gotten around to.

I'm still waiting for someone to shoot down Mega Man 2. I know of no one who dislikes that game.
true, but there's got to be a game so universal that everyone's played it. I'll bet a lot of nes, genesis, snes and arcade games have been played by everyone here.
And I think MegaMan 2 would be a very cool game to arrive at.
