Well personally, I prefer them on the index page. I know it doesn't make a whole lot of difference, but putting them in the sound off forum makes them seem less important, and like they are "sub forums". Also, I now have to change my entire browsing method! damn you all!
I don't really mind though.
I would have rather kept it down to music and movies, now anything related to the subject is going to be bumped off by other usless topics...
:edit oops! they just popped up on the page header, so nevermind. :p
Really my only point was that sometimes new users would put their first threads in the Movie and or Music board and now it may be harder to find. Beleive it or not not everyone posts or checks the Sound Off board. But hey I can live with it.
It doesn't really bother me too much. My only problem is is confuses me a bit. I go to the TNL Main Discussion Center and it looks like there's a new post in Sound Off, but it's only a new post in Cinemania. But oh well, I'm confused half the time anyway so it's nothing new. ;)
Exactly Bbobb. Since the Cinema board got merged with OFF Topic, its harder to track if any of NEW posts been done there.
And can you explain, how is Anime board is diffrent, to deserve to be left on MAIN page, and Cinema and Music have to be merged into Off Topic?
I liked Cinema board to be on its own, but I guess I can get used to new way.
Well I suggested merging some topics in the Housecleaning thread but this wasn't what I had in mind. The point of my suggestion was to merge stuff like Anime/Fanart together since they commonly go hand in hand, while movies/tv/music are one thing also... ah well.
