Well I may be confused on the level layout, I haven't played it in a while. My main argument is that you can't call it a sequel... call it a remake or revisioning if you would like, but it sure as hell isn't a sequel. Nocturne in the Moonlight was the sequel. A sequel needs to take place after the previous game and continue the storyline. In the same sense, Castlevania IV was not in fact a sequel, but instead a revisioning of the original Castlevania.Quote:

So what if the storyline is the same? Like you said, Castlevania 1 and 4 share the same story, and they are most certainly not the same game. And what do you mean they have the same general level layout? They are laid out 100% differently. They both start in a burning town, but that's it. It's not even the same burning town! Not only is the layout of the towns different, but the background tiles aren't even the same. From there the levels just compleatly go their own way in each of the two games.
