Some French (or maybe German) company is working on a cell shaded FPS I believe.
It's based off of a comic if I remember correctly.
I thought the character designs in Time Splitters were kinda cool. I haven't played the game, but I almost want to just to see how they look in game.
This looks very much like Carlos Meglia's work. He's not an Eidos house artist, he's a very popular Mexican comic book artist who started working in US comics about 2 or 3 years ago. Looks like he was comissioned for the project.
His best-known work in the US... he created the comic "Cybersix" whose animated series had a short-lived run on Fox Kids, he did a Crimson one-shot, teamed up with Scott Lobdell for the miniseries "Monster World", and pencilled Dark Horse's Superman/Tarzan miniseries in addition to some monthly Superman work.
XIII is on it's way, based on a very popular French comic series. Hopefully the game'll do well over here so as to prompt the comic it's based on make it across the pond.Quote:
A comic-themed FPS cel-shaded shooter would kick a lot of ass!
Very interesting news...thanks, Kidnemo. ;)
Oh, I forgot to add... if you think this looks "very Danger Girl-ish", check your freakin' eyesight. That's about as close as calling the color red "green-ish".
Hey give me a break, I no longer give a damn about the comic industry and to me, the colors look very similar to what J. Scott Campbell's artwork in PSM looked like. I know the character designs themselves do not remotely look like Danger Girl. Whatever...Quote:
