The popular Mega Man franchise continues with a new face in the spotlight and a new enemy behind the scenes. Can Zero overcome the deadly robot onslaught and save the day?
Graphics -
Zero has never looked cooler. Solid, colorful graphics with little to no slowdown. Mega Man fans will be very pleased.
Sound - :)
Decent tunes, but nothing truly memorable. Passable at best.
Gameplay - :)
If you've played any Mega Man game, then MMZ will feel like familiar territory to you. There are some significant changes/additions though. Zero doesn't steal the bosses' weapons, instead he gains new ones through his comrades. Cyber-elves are new additions, but the most useful ones require leveling up rpg-style,which can be pretty tedious to those who hate that sort of thing.
Story -
The best story in the MM series yet, with a surprise for longtime fans.
Overall
Not truly groundbreaking in terms of gameplay, but still a solid-playing title with a fresh look and feel. MM fans will definitely want to check it out, and others looking for a good action title should try it.
The verdict: :bang:
For MM fans: Buy. Everyone else: Rent.
