AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!Quote:

Good, but little/no replay value.Quote:

Never played it, so I can't comment.Quote:
4. battle garegga
A nice little game, you need to play it, just once.Quote:
5. soukygurentai
I haven't played the first 3 enough to provide meaningful insight.
I really hate battle garrega. I don't know what people see in the game. It's really standard fare, made worse by difficult to see bullets and tons of bullet-looking shrapnel. It's just mediocre with some major flaws that push it toward outright crappiness.
Souky is alright. It's a little overrated, but it's a good shooter with some pretty visuals. Never blew me away though.
Shining the Holy Ark is a good RPG but I would only recommend it to those who like really old-school dungeon-style games.
Mystaria seemed like a decent but unspectacular Strategy/RPG from what I briefly played.
Battle Garegga is a great vertical shooter. I have played the arcade version and I assume the Saturn one is a faithful port.

Incredible RPG.
2. mysteria
Average 1st generation SRPG with great music.
3. magic knight rayearth
Great little game that's a nice collector's item.
4. battle garegga
Awesome vertical shooter.

GODLY vertical shooter. A MUST HAVE.

Garegga is fucking awesome. Soukyugurentai is not.
Well, except for the music.
Its a nice 3 or 4 star shooter.Quote:

Soukyugurentai's control ruins it for me. It's just too damn loose. Some parts look nice though- the part where you fly down on the fleet of little carriers in the desert is great.
1. Shining the Holy Ark
Fun dungeon trek with a decent storyline, if you are a fan of any of Climax's games, especially Shining in the Darkness on Genesis, it's a must-have. Great game.
2. Mystaria (AKA Blazing Heroes)
Turn-based strategy RPG, it was made early in the Saturn's lifespan, I believe, and is a decent game. It's no Final Fantasy Tactics or Tactics Ogre, but it's pretty fun, and worth a purchase if you can get it cheap.
3. Magic Knight Rayearth
Last domestically-released Saturn game, fun anime action/RPG with some cool Zelda-esque puzzles. Only problem is it's incredibly short and you can run through it in a weekend. But for style and presentation, WD did a remarkable job domesticating the game's humor.
4. Battle Garegga
Fantastic shooter that is well worth every penny it typically runs. Some will even argue it surpasses Radiant Silvergun as the best shooter on the Saturn. A definite must-have for anyone who's even remotely into shmups, if your willing to pay the price for it.
5. Soukygurentai
Another fun shooter, though there's really nothing particularly outstanding about it, except for the incredible soundtrack, which may even be better than the game itself. Can be had for a reasonable price, available in two versions, one game-only, the other with the Battle Garegga demo.
I hate Battle Garegga. Still haven't tried Souky but so far I've hated every Raizing shooter I've played.
