Plus I know way more about tuning PCs and building them then I do about Macs (I have almost no clue about the inside structure of Apple puters), so the whole previous knowledge thing sways me towards PCs anyway.

OSX may be superior to Windows XP Pro in some ways, but you have to realize that it also works vice-versa.
