Friday the 13th

Well, I seem to ask this question at wherever I go, so I might as weel get it over with...

Are there any fans of the Friday the 13th movie series here? It's my fave series of all time. Hell, I even own the NES game.

But of course!! hehe... My roommate has most of them on video, so we watch them a lot around here, usually at least 2 or 3 at a time. We even watched all in a row last year before Jason X was out. We saw that opening night too, even though I had a DivX of it months before it's release (I just couldn't wait, but I still paid for it in the end) and can't wait to pick up the new DVDs. I could go on, but I have class now

It's good but the series has run its course. Jason X was alright more comedy and camp than frights.

I love Friday the 13th series. Well most parts I like:

1. Very nice
2. Crap
3. Back with good again
4. Very Nice
5. Ok, Some nice gore, but crazy paramedic Jason?
6. Best Damn Friday. Period.
7. Crap
8. Very Crap
9. Some nice gore fs, but too much of Hidden
10. Sorry to say but Crap

Watched Jason X last night, and hated it. I'm usually the guy who loves cheap horror films, as long they have some nice gore and kills, but unfortunately X had none of that It had couple cool deaths like Head Freeze and Face Smash, Screwing or Spear Trow in the beginning or Jason dismemberment, but for the most part it was frikin head smashes and neck breaking, or off screen. WTF Jason, use your god damn machette.

Characters were fucking annoying and stupid. And just like one of the characters said: It sucks on SO MANY LEVELS

I didnt care about ANY of them, and just wanted them to fukin DIE !!!

THere were some hillarious moments, like when Seargent gets stabbed he says: You should do better than this to bring this old dog down, and then Jason stabs him again, and he mutters: Yeah, This should do the trick

Or whole Jason in holodec Camp sequence with half naked girls offereing him hot, pre-marrital sex, and then him beating them in those sleeping bags.

Hell I don't know... I just thought Jason X was fun. It was not great by all means... but it was sure as hell 10 times better then Jason Takes freaking Manhattan. I would agree with you on 6 being the best of the series though.
BTW I just watched Jason Goes to Hell again tonight. I never noticed it before, but when the guy with the glasses (hell I never remember names), goes to the Voorhees house the first time, there's a copy of the Necronomicon, straight outta Evil Dead, sitting on the counter that he leafs through.

Well, I agree that Jason X is better than Manhattan one. At least it did have some decent gore, and most of the visual fx were nice as well. Plus I liked the way it was shot.
