I can tell you lots about GG or GGX (ask will) and I'll give what I know about GGXX
It looks like Kliff, Justice, and Gear Ky will be in it (look at the center of the selection screen)
***SPOILERS***
- EX I-No is the final boss in the game, seems she is a gear. It seems Sol at one time went out with I-No(the real one) because she swears him out in one of their intros. I-no might be a gear, it seems she was sent by "the man" to kill the GG fighters.
- Zato is now completly taken over by eddie (the shadow) his name is now eddie as well, Zato's corpse is being inhabited by Eddie. - Slayer is the old Assassin guilds leader and has come back to see what is going on. **If you didn't know, the Voice actor for Zato was killed in a car crash**
- Bridget was raised in a village where twin boys(or was it twin gir/boy?) was a bad sign.
So his parents raised him as a girl (this is why he looks like he does)

Zappa is an australian shaman kind of, but he involuntarily gets possessed by spirits, his body is weak and so spirits invade him easily... he needs the greatest doctor in the world (Faust) to cure him. Also, it seems that one of the spirits that possess him is the spirit of the little girl that Dr. Baldhead (Faust) failed to cure... (sabotaged by his doctor peers)
- Anji believes he is the son of "the man", either that or he is investigating if he is (Anji does have one of the Outrage weapons..)
- Dizzy has joined the jellyfish pirates (Johnnys jolly crew) and Testament visits once and a while since he left her with the pirates
- Axl is still looking for the man, in an intro, Axl shows Sol a picture of him when he is a baby, and Sol gets really pissed off
- Millia/VenomAccording to my friend it seems Venom is goona kill Eddie, as well as Millia
- Chipp is looking for mafia leads
- Sol, basically still looking for more gears to kill
- Ky, looking for Gears and "the Man" , he needs to get his veiwpoints straight. **Note: Ky looks like he is MUCH better in GGXX than his GGX counterpart (he was one of the worste in GGX)**
- Potemkin not sure, probably the same
- Jam she has her restaraunt, I don't know why she is still here.. I think she has the hots for Ky (might be other way around)
- Baiken Still looking for the man. My friend tells me she has gear implants (cool).

I'm guessing the 'crotch shot' only looks that way because of the color palette - Ino's hair color is pretty close to her skin tones in that getup.
