Bottle Rocket
Wes Anderson's first movie. More laugh-out-loud comedy than Rushmore or Royal Tennebaums but much less polished. Definately worth renting or owning if your a fan of his work
Korly: bah! XO
I always forget about that. yes, hiring = renting
(I'm Australian)
Nash: The storyline in memento is fairly straight forward, but there are many overtones and layers which are quite complicated. Check out the memento thread I amde, and go to the site in it that Korly posted.
Wag the dog was ok. It was pretty much as expected. 5/10
Wonder boys - a truly great movie. Had me pissing my pants with laughter. you really must see this. 9/10

Well, We watched Beautiful Mind last night. I usually dont watch dramas, but I found it interesting. Good direction by Ron Howard, and Russel Crow gave a good performance as John Nash. I dont know if it was worth the Oscar, but it was a nice film, and even though its over 2 hours long, it didnt feel slow.
Heh, Beautiful Mind has some great haloucination scenes, like the millitary station in his shed. I thought it was pretty good, though it could have been half an hour shorter.
Jackie Brown - A very good movie, but awfully slow paced. It has a rad soundtrack though7/10
Monsters inc - Graphically superior to ice age, but not as funny. still, a great movie, and the DVD is jam packed with features. 8/10
No, Denzel Washington didn't deserve one for Training Day... A Beautiful Mind had "Acadamy Award" written all over it.Originally posted by Despair

Watched 12 Monkeys again the other night. Also recently watched The Ring at the theater, Macross Plus: Movie Edition on DVD, and all of The Hire shorts at bmwfilms.com.
Gon
...because without the bitter, baby, the sweet ain't as sweet.
Well, Beautiful Mind also had a cool action scene when Russel Crow being chased in the car by evil Russian spies, and Ed Harris has a gunfight with them
Gondolin, I thought that Washington was excellent in Training Day. Plus Crow already had an Oscar from year before, because of Gladiator, so Academy wouldnt given him another one.
I missed the first series of shorts, so I need to get them and watch.
Looking forward othe 2 films, coming next month.
Mystery Science Theatre 3000 The Movie: Great funny film that doesn't get oldThe interludes between movie mocking sequences are pretty lame after the first time through, but everything else is gold.
Blade II: Does the job well enough, though the plot was pretty damned predictable and it just seems to try too hard to be cool. Neat imagery at the end which redeems it in mine eyes so I give it an OK.
Terminator: Belive it or not - this was the first time I had seen it. T2 was great, but I didn't see the first untill now and I'm glad I did. I don't think it's better than T2, in fact, I think it actually makes T2 a better movie than it is without seeing the original. Mostly because things in the later film have more pertenance after some ideas and decriptions in the first.

I saw Mulholland Drive yesterday, and all I can say is WTF. I don't think I understood it, and a more abstract movie I've never seen. Nice lesbians though
I'm watching Dark City Tomorrow. I hear its good.
Star Wars Saga, Alien Saga, Transformers G1 Season 1, Yu-GI-Oh and various shows.
