Thread: What have you been watching lately?

  1. I really did not like A Beautiful Mind. It started off really strong, but the last 3rd of the movie is just dragging on. Done very well though, and it was not bad at all.
    your mom

  2. Ok watched some more movies over the weekend:

Hellraiser 6 - Confusing and dissapointing. Had some nice gore scenes, but nearly not enough of them to save the film.

Saint Sinner - ANother Barker project, somewhat entertaining, interesting story, but bad acting and censored tv version spoiled most of the fun for me

The Soldier - Underrated Kurt Russel sci-fi action film. I personally like the story and style. Some nice action scenes, and Russel was a cool hero.

Mr. Deeds - I hated this Adam Sandler comedy. It tried too fucking hard to be soo sweet and ended up just ridiculous. I am not a fan of moralistic stories, so the ending almost made me throw up !!! It had few funny moments, but other than that it a total crap

  3. Mullholand Drive is a puzzle, David Lynch intended it to be that way, much re-watching is kinda needed though,

-The Ring: Good movie, creepy as all hell. Ending was a little too odd though, could have ended better.

-Jackass The Movie: 2 hour Episode thats uncensored and features some bigger stunts, great stuff. Only if you like Jackass though.

-Rules of Attraction: Great film-making indeed. I found the movie rather good, many will find it offensive and disgusting though, but thats the movies intended nature. Also its a prequal to American Psycho believe it or not!

Have not rented much in a while, and I work at a video store!
    Barf! Barf! Barf!

  4. Every John Cusack movie ever made.

Saw The Ring and will see Punch Drunk Love soon.

  5. Osmosis Jones - The animation is great, the movie isn't really that funny and it isn't the Farelly Brothers' best, but it's an enjoyable movie nonetheless.

The Scorpion King - Nice action movie with plenty of cool fight scenes. Nothing that would make you really think, but not a real let-down either (like Mummy Returns was).

The Time Machine - Okay, some parts made no sense, pretty standard fare with some cool special fx. Plot was kinda predictable, though I've never read the book. I should someday...

Road to Perdition - Best movie I've seen recently. The acting was top-notch, the story was interesting, and nice twist and turns...
    Name: Rock
    Town: Arcadia

  6. Dark City - Quite a good movie. A great idea, kind of like the matrix but better IMO, but the lead actor sucks balls, and the end 'fight' was lame. If this was based on a book, I'd love to read it. 7/10

Talos the Mummy - Really shit, but in that cool shit horror movie way. Not gory enough though. 4/10

Spiderman - Awesome DVD pack, great movie. I hope the sequel will be as good as this. 8/10

  7. Top Gun.

It's been on VH-1 39265235936 times this week. Still not sick of it.
    Play Guitar Hero //

  8. -Scareface- I guess I was getting myself prepped for Vice City

-Resident Evil- borrowed it from a friend. Not as bad as many people have made it out to be. I watched it twice I liked it so much.

-Casino- Meh, what can I say, I love movies like these.

  9. WHEN GOD, OH WHEN WILL RESIDENT EVIL BE RELEASED HERE?

  10. It still not out in Australia? Damn. Here in US Special ED should be released by the end of the year, it will be 2 disk ed, and hopefully will contain directors cut of the film.

    Can't Wait

Top Gun - Damn, I hate that film !!
