Thread: What have you been watching lately?

  1. Well, Just finished watching it, and let me tell you - It was very, very crappy. It was either heavily cut, or just badly directed, since there are many scenes that are misjointed and not connected. Acting is beyond bad, plot is laughable, and the only thing that could have save this film - gore is missing for majority of the film. I wonder if US release was badly cut. Stay away from this piece of shit !

  2. Word of advice Despair - Stay far far away from Zombie Lake

  3. Will keep that in mind

Guess what ! I just watched another crappy film. Reign in Darkness, an Australian production, that tried to hard to be cool vampire action ala Blade. Bad story, low buged, bad acting, laughable fights and special fx.

Man, Do I have a good day or what. Sum of All Fears next

  4. I've got Full Metal Jacket sitting there. I'll watch that tonight probably. Its my Favourite war movie by far.

  5. the entire bootcamp part of the movie is classic...the latter half is good too but it can't stand up to the first

  6. I agree. FMJ is a great film. One of the few Kubrick films, I actually like.

  7. What about thie shining? That's a great mvie.

    FMJ was awesome. 10/10

I have K Pax here, and I'm gonna watch it later.

  8. Watched The Sun of All Fears last night. Was pretty good. Good to see Russians portaited not as your typical bad guys, and most of the dialog was done right, and there were some real russian actors playing bit parts

  9. 12 Monkeys has a very cool plot, the first time I watched it, I didn't really understand what was going on, and with help from my friend I finally understood who the guy who caused the "apocalypse" was... it's very subtle which is why I really like it.

Royal Tenenbaums was very good, I forgot to mention it before, has some funny moments, and acting all around is very good.

I Spy is a very funny movie. It's been awhile since I've seen a good comedy, seems like there've been quite a few spy spoof movies this year (Goldmember, Undercover Brother, Tuxedo and now this). Worth every penny of the $5 I paid.
    Name: Rock
    Town: Arcadia

  10. K-Pax - I don't have anything to say about it really. Pretty good. 7/10

Ring (Asian version) - Good, though slow, and over-hyped in my opinion. 7/10
