It was just so stupid in this episode that I had to laugh, especially with him giving her that evil smile while he told her to have a good trip to Paris. Strawberry fucking milk - JESUS. Who the hell wants to watch that same drama every week? The writers just dont need to write Kristin Kreuk's character into the next season, after making this crap this ridiculously annoying, just let her go.....

What he did was seriously the gayest thing I've ever seen him do. Ever. I actually laughed my ass off after he did that, it was so forced.

That and the girl with the Flash-like speedforce powers was ridiculous. She can move so fast as to be able to run through SOLID brick, but not fast enough to run through a little bit of water?
Yeah that was weird, I guess that just caught her offguard or something or it's an unexplained weakness. Maybe it's a psychological thing since her original form drowned and since she has the mentality of a kid she didn't know how to swim but then again it's a huge fucking bucket of water not a river.

Why do I watch this crap? Yeah , Im out if the writing doesnt somehow improve real quick - ( like next weeks episode better really impress me)

Actually ,the one saving grace was at the end with Lex finally getting to screw his dad over , that was slick. The rest >>
Same here, I'm always hoping the show would move forward but either the network or the writers are slowing down time just to keep craking out the seasons. I'm just hoping they actually get to the point and finally make the relationship between Lana and Clark solidified since they booted out Pete and she's the only other person he can trust after Pete.

  2. Wait, that wasn't the season finale? I watch Smallville a night later than the rest of you (no WB here so I catch it on UPN, sans previews). I assumed that was the season closer.

It was forced, and I dont understand Clark's or the writers line of thinking.Okay ,Pete was his good friend and he knew his secret. He got his shit kicked not because the FBI/Luthor really knew that Pete could tell them something about Clark, but because he was one of Clark's closest friends so he MIGHT know something. If Pete didnt speak up or didnt know anything they would just move on to another of Clark's closest friends ---like Lana.So feasibly she could get stomped by some shady ass FBI agent looking for info just the same, and not know any info, so WTF - why wouldnt Clark just tell her - she deserves to know what the hell she might be getting her ass kicked for....Like you said forced and not thought out -- and Clark did it with a smile

Thats a really good point , Will. I never thought of the psychological aspect.

One thing, if they are getting rid of Pete , that may mean the writers are going to slide someone else in to his place as Clarks confidante/someone who he can confide in to know his secret,,could be Lana. After last Wednesday's episode I dont think she really cares anymore though - No real woman would ever put up with that shit.Super space alien demi-god or not. I think if he finally does get around to tell her that she seriously wont give a damn at this point.

Nope, one more to go. From the previews it looks like we get to see Lionel go to jail, Lex have a stroke, Lana to hit the road, and Clark hooking up with Supergirl,

  4. Well, there it was... I'm going to go over the wrap up ending to see if I understood everything that was going on... in spoilers of course. Help me out and discuss if I'm off the mark:

Chloe is dead. I mean, she was headed into her witness relocation house when it blew up, right? Or does she come back? If so, how?

Mr. Kent I doubt is dead. Clark went in to the portal with Jor-el to save him, so I doubt he's going to be dead at the beginning of next season. What was that burning symbol on the Kent's lawn that Ma Kent was looking at? Is there any precedence anywhere for that symbol in the Superman universe?

I guess we can be 100% sure Lex isn't dead. He's sure going to be pissed tho; guess it's not like he has to kill his dad or anything for it. I'm guessing he and Clark don't ever repair their relationship from this point forward. Which means I have to watch season 4.

No Pete in this ep. I guess he's gone for good in the series? Or at least as a regular I bet. I actually felt bad that Clark missed seeing Lana off at the airport. Guess all that back-and-forth between them this season paid off a little just for that.

So Clark will be "reborn"? Cool how he was shrouded in the light of the Superman symbol in fetal position. Maybe he's whisked off to a fortress of solitude of sorts and learns all kinds of cool stuff at the beginning of next season.

It was good. It certainly propelled the story along to set up an interesting next season. Or at least, a season that should be interesting. They could very well wrap up all that stuff above in the first five minutes of the season premiere and then we're back to square one. I hope that doesn't happen. Hopefully season 4 will rock.

  5. I was disappointed overall, but the episode was OK. Series is starting to dry out on me though. Especially seeing that DC's ignoring it comic wise. I'll give it a chance, but if they don't do some really impressive stuff early next season, I may just move on to something else.
Taking it one day at a time.

Yeah, I think its fair to say that Chloe is probably dead.Kind of cool to see Lionel getting even on the two punks that put him in prison, and that smirk on his face was priceless. That and seeing him with the famous Luthor haircut.Although Chole did give that government agent a funny look after he smirked at her so there is a possibilty she got lucky and lived through that...

Pa Kent and Lex sure as hell arent dead. Im not sure about that symbol either Scourge. Im pretty current on the Superman comic continuity and I didnt recognize it.One thing I am sure of - is that that isnt Jor-El in the cave. My guess is either Brainiac, which was an artificial intelligence from Krypton that trys to control Clark/Superman, and it knows all of Kryptons history and people - so thats a good possibility (even though Brainiacs symbol is like 3 circles in a triangle formation and that didnt look like the burn mark on the field).
If not Brainiac than maybe it is Zod ( Hell, Terrence Stamp who played General Zod in Superman 2 is doing the voice of "Jor-El") and that did look like Clark was in the Phantom Zone or something at the end.

I thought it was a decent episode and it has me curious as to what will go down in Season 4 so I may check it out then. But the writers need to quit with the Clark/ Lana shit. That was the worst part about this episode ---- AGAIN Make it happen or take her out of the series....Or better yet - Hell, let Lex get a piece of that..........hmmm, I bet thats where these writers will take the series into a competition between Lex and Clark over Lana <Jetmans prediction for Season 4>

Yeah, the Braniac thing is interesting. The Zod theory is cool too. It really did look like Clark was in the Phantom Zone there at the end.

  8. It seems like they are setting up Season 4 to be totally different from the rest of the series. Almost like a fresh start.

Maybe since Chloe's incident they will introduce Lois for a couple episodes because wasn't it said that they are cousins? So maybe that's how Clark meets Lois.

Maybe Season 4 can be Clark starting to get interested in jounalism... something fresh.

    Who knows.

  9. I thought for sure that was the Phantom Zone. I'm almost positive. Its also kinda neat how they parallel Clark's and Lex's fathers as evil(in Clark's case almost). I mean "Jor-El" strangles Pa Kent. Lionel strangles Lex with poison in his liquer. Pretty neat. I missed most of this season, because of work so I am kinda depressed that the Lana/Clark thing has not been settled. Who's writing this Chris Claremont?
I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me.

  10. I'd like to add one other theory to that. Could the Eradicator be somehow involved. He was created to preserve kryptonian life too right?
