That totally baffles me as well.
This is a good season. Stop expecting it be an exact retelling of the DC Comics Man of Steel, and you'll be able to relax more.

No its not that, but its also kind of weird to watch. For example, I didn't mind that Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman two hour pilot (very good, by the way) that Clark Kent already wore glasses.
Love that classic readjust the glasses from falling with the middle finger Clark Kent move.

I keep telling myself that...you know even the animated series was an "else-worlds" tale....but I just can't seem to "gel" with the crazy flip-flopping around with the story.
