lol Speakiong of Rare shit, I scored a Red Phoenix from capping a PAL RAPPY in Ultimate forest.

It's got one gold star and it's the 1st time I've ever even seen the thing by anyone. Ranger Class Weapon so I'm deciding what I should do with it.

are gold stars rare...? my branch of paku paku.. is 9 blue stars.. and the last star is gold.. what those that mean..

and can a Ramarl use it... and what you want for some kind of relaly rare sword. you dont have...? and other crap...

Generally, nine star items are the 'common' rares. eg, for any given section Id, you'll find basically all of the 'common' 9 star rares if you play a fair amount (my pinkal has a bank full of clubs of laconium, maces of adaman, agni/dagon/indra, etc)

the 10+ star items are 'true' rares, in that you aren't going to wind up with a bank full of them, for the most part. I still have yet to see an 11 or 12 star item, but I've been winding down, not playing as much since I hit ultimate

Well as of tonight in a full team.

I hit Level 100 Killing Olga Flow in Verh Hard mode. Jesus H Christ never have I had to fight so hard trying to kill this guy!

He dropped dead and I finally cleared the 1st hurdle.

Level 200 here I come once again.....

152 Hours overall I did a lot of BSing around before I did that. I also scored a Guard Wave so I'm kickin it with that.

Discoveries...Discoveries....

Along with a much needed bump I have come across something real dirty.

Now for those of you working your way to Ultimate Mode I should inform you of a funny yet useful trick for scoring mad rares. I wasn't aware of how easy this was until a guy I met online, *Who I've been training in C Mode* told me about this trick of sorts.\

No some of you may know and some of you don't but when you finally enter Ultimate Mode, all the monsters are gone that you saw in V Hard on down and replaced with new ones which are bigger, faster and do an assload more damage.

There are a select few which stayed the same but for the most part you can pretty much surmise that you're going to get your butt kicked.

Moving on to the subject at hand tho I was made aware of a Quest I remembered called 'Fake in Yellow'.

Now what this quest is generally about is you looking for a doctor who had gone down to Ragol to study a certain lifeform that he became very intrested in. Well of course it turns out the ole doc has a Mad-On for Rappies.

What does this mean? That to find him you're going to have to pound your way through hordes and hords of Rappies or the Badazz Rappies in Version 2 aptly named EL RAPPY!

Now I've noticed this myself that Rare monsters have shown up more often than not in PSO on the Gamecube and thus this gives you a chance to get ahold of rares a lot faster seeing as it seems to be a rule of thumb that any rare monster you kill gives you a nice rare Weapon/Armor/part ect ect.

The most common Rare monster is of course...The Pal Rappy. These look just about the same as the normal ones only they are kinda rainbow colored and generally are a bit stringer and harder to kill.

There have been of course Blue Rappies which I'm sure a lot of you have seen like AL Rappies, Rare Monsters such as the Hidlatorr, Hildablue, Nar Lilly ect ect are something that will usually pay out nicly for those of you just bumming around.

In general tho I went back to try that quest in Ultimate and smacked the crap out of 2 Pal Rappies in the same game. One coughed up a Red Photon Cannon Rare and the other coughed up a Guard Wave which is Level 101 Armor which of course is more badass than anything I own in my stock right now.

Lesson?

Work on those quests that have an unusal count of monsters above the norm seeing as more rares are now popping up in these quests. It used to be you'd only find decent common crap in DC Version 2 but this time it seems that Sega fixed that annoyance as well.

Are you playing PSO v1 more or PSO v2?

Are there any downloadable quests available online right now?

last Question:
I should have my BBA in a few days. Do you guys play together in certain lobbies in password protected games.
