Thread: Best Versions of Games.

  1. About why someone would use a custom soundtrack- why the hell would I want to listen to my stereo during play when it would probably drown out the sound effects? And, even if I turn it low enough to hear the sound effects, I'm left with also hearing the game's soundtrack, which, since I've got my stereo turned on, I want to avoid.

  2. "I prefer the PS2's controller, only becauase I use the Dpad to do all my moves, and as we all know, the GC's Dpad is worthless."

    I know the GC version of TH is not the one to get, but the GC actually has a Dpad and the PS2 has 4 pellets.
    PSN = knarlockk
    Steam= kevinb150

  3. Those four "pellets" are still more comfortable than the GC's d-pad.

  4. Another one from Captain Obvious.... Dracula X on Duo

  5. Oh, and for simplicity's sake, always go with SNES versions of games instead of Genesis versions.

    I don't know shit about Tony Hawk, but I use the analog stick to play every GB game I own and I have nary a problem.

  8. Star Control 2 on 3DO blew the PC version out of the water.

    Now that I'm thinking 3DO, the version of Starfighter on 3DO beat out all other versions too. Didn't help that all other versions were pretty horrible, though.

    If you want to use one of the worst controllers ever conceived instead of one of the best. But, hey, graphics are the only thing that matter, right?

  10. The sound on many of the games is also superior. I liked the SNES controller more than the Genny one, by the way.
