Thread: Best Versions of Games.

  1. I made a list on the first page. Please look at it, its taking forever to make.

    Thanks.

Also, from now on, to make this go faster, put them in the fashion that I did on the first page so I can copy and paste them from your post. Thanks.

  2. Rez

    PS2 vs. DC

PS2 had the benefit of a smoother framerate and the tranzvibrator. though it had a jaggier problem than the DC version. also the the DC version was boosted by the VGA support.

    any corrections?

  3. Dracula X was made for Duo and SNES.... I don't think they were made for SS/PSX... those are different Castlevanias. And Dx is better on the Duo b/c of... everything

  4. Dracula X: Rondo of Blood on Duo is not the same game as the SNES Dracula X.

How may times does it need to be said?
They are two totally different games!!!!

  5. Master, to answer your question marks regarding Out Of This World and Alone In The Dark for 3DO:

    1) Both had graphic and audio overhauls (if I recall correctly. I know for a fact that OOTW did but not sure about AITD)

    2) The inclusion of being able to use a controller (I don't remember the PC versions having this option)

  6. kbuchanan, a d-pad is more than just a 4-way directional cursor. By your logic, the Genesis' and Saturn's d-pads weren't actually d-pads.

IMO the cube version looks and plays better, especially because of the controller..

  8. Copied and pasted from my post in the other thread...

Here are some of my individual recommendations though:
Tiger Woods 2003 [Gamecube] - I think the Cube's controller fits the layout/controls of the game perfectly (regardless of whether or not you have a Wavebird). Plus the Cube version is cheaper too.

Aggressive Inline [Gamecube] - DON'T get the Cube port, because your saves will take up an absolutely ridiculous amount of space on your memory card. Whoever overlooked this in the Cube version should be shot. Go with the PS2 or Xbox for this one.

Time Splitters 2 [Gamecube] - I like the Gamecube version the most, because you don't have to buy a multitap, the graphics and frame rate are solid, and you can use Wavebirds.

Summoner: A Goddess Reborn [Gamecube] - An underrated game that's best on the Gamecube, but it may not be worth the extra cost since the game recently was released for the Cube. It's already hitting PS2 bargain bins (it's called Summoner 2 on PS2).

You liked the dogbone better than the Genny six-button?

Thank you for pointing that out and saving me from having to go on a rant of my own.
