I guess I should be happy, since I cleared the 1st round with more Marions and bombs than usual (i.e., zero), and I finally reached a 2nd round boss, but I missed not one, but two gemheads.
Still, Strikers 1999 III (or whatever it's called) is looking mighty appealing, but at 2 tokens a game and no home version, I'll have to play when no one's looking... I've already got some sort of rep as the "shooter god" for beating Gunbird 2 and smoking everyone else (at least I hope so ), and I can't afford to bring it down by dying in 1-3 or something... oh, what to do...
Level 5, in those 4 coin patches at the beginning. I think I might've had 49 to start, and I usually don't try to get each individual coin, but I wanted to see how far I could take it.
1-7 cleared - Wow, knowing how to dodge the double exploding ball attack thingy really helps! I prefer Mode7's method of staying in the center of the balls, also halfway between the bottom of the screen and the balls, moving straight down and, at the last second, diagonally upward. Dodging the right ball explosion is now possible, and the trumpet laser misses!
