  9. I wrote the Fushigi Dungeon FAQ. Overall, I think it was just okay. The cute character designs, graphics/sprites, and music are all great; controls are so-so (seems like real-time, but you take turns attacking...); and the challenge sucks. I wasn't able to get past 10-20% of the game and had to let it sit until I found some gameshark codes on a Japanese website.

    The game is too difficult because you need to maintain two life meters: one for health, and one for hunger. The health meter is depleted as you are hit and restored as you walk. The hunger meter is depleted as you walk and restored only with randomly generated items. The danger is that due to the game's design, you could possibly go through multiple levels without finding food. Then you're dead.

    Which brings me to the save system... basically it's only there so you can pick up where you left off (if you're still alive) or so that you can save your high score after you die. No continues.

    ...so if you're willing to boot this game with your gameshark, then you might find it fairly enjoyable... but then there's little to no point left in playing...

    As for how to find it, hope for a Drekore rerelease or for someone to sell it to an online shop.
