Thread: Piles of Shame

  1. Kingdom Hearts is still in it's package, waiting patiently for me to finish FFX and Capcom VS Snk 2 might as well be considered still in the package since I have only played it once due to my absorbtion into playing FF

I own about 15 PSX games, and some 32X and Intellivision games...

But I never leave shit in the wrap. I usually open it and read the manual at least.

    Damn right!

When I buy a new game, opening it and playing it as soon as I'm in the door becomes top priority!

Screw leaving it in the shrink! That's for pussies!

  4. Welll with most game I would play it as soon as I got home, but when I'm in the middle of one RPG I don't really feel like checking out the other until I'm good and done

  5. I've got a few games that I got some really good deals on that aren't opened, as well as two more. Starfox Adventures ($12), JSRF ($15), Devil May Cry ($10). I've also got Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and Ikaruga which are still in the packaging.

I mostly leave new games in the packaging because when I play a game, I start by removing the shrinkwrap, and don't put it on the shelf until I'm done playing the game (eg finished it, put a ton of time into it, etc).

The notable exceptions are fighting games. I've put about 100 hours into King of Fighters 2000, but I still don't say I'm done with it, because it's still alot of fun to me even now. There are a few games in my list that I bought for DC/PSX/N64/GBA before I started playing games this way. So sad.

  7. Well that sucks, I thought my reason was valid as well...

  8. Whenever I used to buy games at actual stores, I typically cracked open the game as soon as I got into the car.

I didn't see it. It's a valid reason as well. Cary on.

Yeah when I was a kid reading the instruction booklet on the way home in the car was a ritual for me.
