Thread: B.C.'s Quest For Tires

  1. Holy shit! A thread on B.C.'s Quest for Tires!!!

Yeah, I had the PC version. But I played it on the C64 and liked that version a helluva lot more.

    Great stuff.
Look out, man, Wooly's gone ape-shit.

Korian, the clam collecting was in Grog's Revenge. It wasn't top down but side-scrolling with the ability to move up and down, like a beat 'em up.

  3. B.C is right up there with Cathy, vying for the title of "unfunniest comic ever".

Speaking of comic games, Create with Garfield was damn cool. It was fun making your own comics. It's not technically a game but it's close enough.

I see. One of them did have a overhead clam stage I thought when your in a cave that has a spotlight over you.

Ziggy and Family Circus kick both their asses.

I remember playing this at my friend's house when I was a kid - we had to go and do something else for a half an hour while the tape drive loaded. But it was either that, or Pogo Joe.

You're right, Korian. I totally forgot about the spotlight level in Grog's. That level was kind of irritating from what I remember.

Hmmm? I was'nt really a big fan of the game myself. One of my personnal favorites from the C-64, was Racing Destruction Set, published by EA. They published some great games back in the day, EA just is'nt the publisher I loved back in the 80's.

racing destruction set ruled! i had a lot of fun screwing with the gravity and making my own tracks.

back on topic, i remember grog's revenge as being too difficult. i managed to beat quest for tires a few times, but the sequel always confused me.

what a strange license for a video game..

  10. Wow, never thought I'd see a thread dedicated to THIS game.

It was probably my all-time favorite Commodore 64 game, played it a ton when I was a kid. Hard as hell, though, if I remember correctly.

Should probably track down another copy and play it one of these days
    omg TNL epics!
