There's been like what, 2 volleyball games in the last 10 years? I'll be picking up Beach Spikers and DOAXBV when it comes out.

KINGS OF THE BEEEEAAAACCCHH!!!
Super Spike Volleyball owns Kings of the Beach every day of the week!
Nice deal on Beach Spikers, I might need to roll over this weekend with the ole 5 dollar off coupon and grab a copy...
Beach Spikers is mad fun, if you like virtua tennis at all, you will probably enjoy it. Very similar play mechanics (wonder why???)
Anyone who takes advantage of this is scoring a major deal. Best four-player game since Tennis 2K2.

I played the Demo of Beach Spikers at a Best Buy a few weeks ago, meh. Felt kinda clunky in my opinion.
Barf! Barf! Barf!
The gameplay in Beach Spikers is deeper than one might expect for a 2 button game. I like how you have options between overhand/underhand serves, one or two sets before spiking, and normal/blocked/lob spikes. I also like how critical location is for blocking and setting up a good spike. Of course all of this shoudn't be a suprise given the AM2 heritage and what VF4 does with 3 buttons.
You're right, it didn't make sense. I'll wait 'til XBV. then decide which is better. In the meantime, I need to play NES Volleyball - the Nintendo generic first-party launch era title, like Soccer or Tennis. I didn't even know it existed.Originally posted by CypherUppercut

I wouldn't be surprised if we get an E-reader version of NES Volleyball.
