Thread: Too many buttons?

  1. the point i was trying to make is that, with this controller, developers are forced to make sure the games have intuitive button layouts while using less buttons.

but at the same time, yeah, there's no way in fuck im gonna argue with some of those points and not say that this controller was designed for Nintendo games.

still, i bett that if all games were designed with this controller in mind, the world would be a better place.

shit shit shit, i forgot to say with the exception of fighting games, and FPS, and RTS's.

If Nintendo fired whoever designed that POS controller the world would be a better place.

  4. The GC controller is crap, for Nintendo games even. One of the worst ever IMO.

  5. Ignoring the GC's controversial button layout, more companies need to ripp off it's excellent grippage. It's a pleasure to hold.

Oh wait...too many buttons...Yeah games that use every button on the controller 7 different ways or whatever can be a pain, but in the end you'll usually have them down within 30 mins or less so...yeah. Momentary pain.

It has ONE LESS BUTTON than the other controllers out there. Whats so great about that?

  7. I wish the GBA had too many buttons.....

6 is a nice number. Let's keep it at 6 buttons or less, m'kay. And if anybody else falls below 3 face buttons, they're getting my foot up thier ass.

    *glares at Nintendo*

  8. What an odd complaint.

I actually think it's strange when a developer doesn't use every single button in a game. And why would anyone feel overwhelmed if a game had a function for every button? The only time I could see this as a valid complaint, would be with the rainbox six games on dc, each key performed what seemed to be a million functions, but if a game does not multitask each button, then I see no reason to complain.

  9. all controllers suck.. and some more than others.. this shit is gonna give me arthestis

wake me up when i can move the charcter with my mind..

well, the Z Button isn't really meant to be used really. Nintendo didn't put it their on their original design, but many 3rd Party Developers asked them to put it on.

and it's really the face button layout that shows what im talking about.

i feel the same. i feel that more buttons could've been used on PSO EP I&II. all im saying is, that the GameCube controller encourages intuitive design.
