Alright. Before I let the realization sink in that I'm arguing with Ethugg and give up, if they took the GC's controller shape, and just enlarged it, then would you be happy(One again ignoring it's button layout, shitty d-pad, etc..)?

    02. The GameCube controller isn't as comfortable as so many Nintendo fanboys swear it is.
    03. The Z-button the GC controller has to be the worst button placement I have seen in a long time. It never feels natural to try to hit that button.
    04. A lot of games have control schemes that are perfectly fine. Yea, okay, maybe games use more buttons and have more complex controls than they used to. But holy shit, games are more complex than they used to be.
    05. The GC's Z-Button sucks.
You forgot to mention how bad the Z button is on the GC pad.

If it were bigger I might like it more... shape wise. The handles are too thin and too close IMO, and it's too light. Meh... I cope.

  3. he didnt forget the z button.....see #3

  4. The Z-button sucks for most games, but I do find it nice as a side button. It worked well for Robotech... It should've been a trigger underneath the controller like the N64 one was. That'd be nice as hell.

When developers actually bother using the GC triggers with some thought it becomes very nice. Like in Rogue Leader, where you have analog speed control on both sticks but the buttons inside trigger full-stop and speed boost.
Nope i HATE the PS2 controller, ive hated it from the Day one version of the playstation one controler to its current incarnation. The double shoulder buttons are pointless and the "analog" attributes are a joke.

I was refering more to the Dreamcast, Saturn3D, and Xbox way of pulling off triggers, IMHO the way it should be done. a pivot point on top, instead of push straight in like the GC.

That's a good point. I had not analysed why the DC and Saturn triggers felt better.. but now that you mentioned it.. that's the reason.

Am i the only one here who LOVES the placement of the start and back buttons on the xbox controller S????? mmmmmm yummy. With other controlls you have to like stretch your thumb there but with S you just bend your thumb a little bit and horray!

I can't tell if this is sarcasm or not?

I am not sure how I feel about those buttons since I have not used S-Controller enough. But I know I do like the Start button in the middle of the pad where it usually is. It's a special place for a special button.
