Mr. Driller: Drilland Screens!
Namco has released nearly a dozen new screens of its upcoming Nintendo GameCube puzzle game, the newest installment in the popular Mr. Driller series, Mr. Driller: Drilland. Due out in Japan on December 20th, the game will feature the same classic gameplay that made the original such a hit when it was released a couple years ago, as well as a bunch of new modes including a training mode which will be available in the "Drilland" amusement park.
The first, Horror Night House, pits Mr. Driller and his friends against a bunch of attacking monsters. Drindy Adventure puts the little fellas in environments reminscent of the "Indiana Jones" movies, as they move through each stage avoiding traps.
Mr. Driller: Drilland is due out in Japan on December 20th. Namco hasn't announced any plans to release the game in North America.[/i]

I've never played a Mr Driller game but i'm really tempted to get this Gamecube sequel. Love the art.

You should try to at least pick up the Dreamcast version then. It can be had for under $15 and it's quite fun and addictive.Originally posted by Sidez

i want this, but im still thinking if i should get this one over the GBA version, just because puzzle games are great for portable systems.

My favorite puzzle series. My most anticipated game of the year. Metroid what? Each and every Mr Driller title is unique. It could be said that getting any of the later titles would make the DC/PSX version obsolete but that's not true. I visited Gameworks the other night and only two games got my money. 3rd Strike and Mr Driller. My next PCB will be Mr Driller 2. I can't imagine that there is, but does anyone know if there is a PCB version of Mr Driller G? Thank god I Afterburnt my GBA because I played Mr Driller Ace with an uncommon zeal. I even kept the GBA under me pillow for late nights and early mornings!
Mr Driller Drilland is going to own my brain and I can NOT wait. I'd do anything to be the guy that tests Mr Driller all day long. Hell I'd work for free.
