By whom? The Devils have been a choke in round 1 or go to the Finals team for a decade. The last time they lost in the Conference Finals was when they were still learning how to win in 1994.

BTW, I've figured out Ottawa's definition of toughness. They think that taking dumbass penalties equates to toughness. I guess I can't blame them. It seems to be a theme in Ontario.

You said the Senators were choke artists. My point was, people called the Devils choke artists in 2000 because they had choked the three years before that - twice being upset by the 8th seed. No-one thought they could win because they had a establish a pattern of losing/choking/flopping, whatever you want to call it. But they finally got over the hump... and that experience and hardship paid off.

There same could easily be true of Ottawa, especially now that they have gotten further than they ever have before. I just think it's foolish to discount a good team like that.

im interested to see anaheim sweep the wild so people can stop thinking the fact that they beat the #1 and 2 seeds was a fluke. i'd imagine a 4 game shutout sweep would disprove any naysayers. giguere is putting on a freakin clinic. wish i wasnt working during this last game tho

Except that NJ already had a Cup. Teams with no Cups deserve the zero respect they get, as do teams that can't remember their last one. Yes, I'm talking to you, Toronto!

Believe me, nobody anywhere is more aware of how long it's been since the Leafs won the Cup than people in Toronto. People started staging sit-ins when negotiations with Cujo began going sour last spring.

Wow. I hadn't heard that. However, you are better off with Belfour than Joseph. CuJo is like the Sens. He wakes up one day and realizes he is in the playoffs. He then folds like a pop-up tent.

Well, Cujo got the team further than Belfour has - I don't think Joseph ever put on a playoff showing as bad as Belfour did this year, that one 65 shot game notwithstanding. Belfour's also 39 years old, so his time to help the Leafs accomplish anything major is running short.
