  1. cant wait to see a senators/ducks final

  2. Bleh.. That Game 6 was brutal for a Devils fan. It was a heartbreaking loss, really, but the Devils certainly had their chances. Both teams had a lot of chances.. that game was pretty wide open.

I kept warning Devil fans not to take the Sens lightly. They're not the best team in the league for nothing. Regardless of what happens in Game 7 they have shown a lot of character in coming back against all odds.

I still have a lot of faith that the Devils can win Game 7 though. They still feel the burn for giving away the 2001 Finals. Guys like Brodeur and Stevens won't let it happen again. The Devils have won several Game 7s in the past few years (against Philly and Toronto). I think experience will help them.. I hope so anyway.

  3. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Sorry. The Sens are not the best team in the league. The Blues won the President's Trophy too. It doesn't mean a damn thing.

If the Devils lose 12-0 in game 7, I'm still not giving any credit to Ottawa. The Devils deal with success worse than any team I have ever seen. I swear they are better off down 3-1 than up 3-1 in a series, at least against a decent opponent. We'll see what they can muster for game 7, but 5 and 6 have been lousy efforts.

This series is not Ottawa's to decide. It never has been. If the Devils show up, they can beat Ottawa on any night. If they don't, they can lose to Buffalo on any night.

  5. The Sens were the #1 team in the league standings before post-season started. That and that alone is why.

You're a huge NJ fan, Brodeur is good but the Devils play hockey where the lead is everything. If they're down it's rare for them to come back. I'm not short-changing the Devils, but Ottawa is not far beneath them as you lead to believe, if anything, Ottawa is above them. Will Ottawa lose? Yeah, probable....... so it makes no difference in the end when it comes to the playoffs.

Ummmm... everytime Ottawa has scored first in this series, it has been 1-1 shortly thereafter. I agree that the Devils are built to play with the lead, but keep in mind that Ottawa has won exactly one game in regulation. The fact that they are getting the OT bounces is the only reason this series went 5, let alone 7.

  7. Will one of you Devils fans phone Brodeur and tell him to shut the Sens out already? Because if they make the Cup, I give up on hockey forever.

The OT bounces? In Game 6 the reason the Sens won was because Colin White decided to go on a little unscheduled vacation behind the net for no particular reason. In Game 1 it was because Tverdovsky went on a similar vacation. The Devils lost both of those games because of critical miscalculations by defencemen.

The Devils had plenty of chances to score in regulation and OT though. The real reason they lost is because they could not bury their chances. The game should never have gone to OT.

Game 7 will come down to guile. The Devils have more experience in the big moments. In 2000 yhey won a few game 7s the past few years and they won in Philly in a game 7. They won in Dallas in a huge game 6... Plus They're still haunted by the 2001 Finals debacle. I think that leaders like Brodeur and Stevens will help them gut out a tough road victory in game 7... but it's so close and both teams are very good and evenly matched. In any game 7 anything can happen. I could see it going either way... but I think the Devils have a good chance and I feel confident.

In Game 6, the game would have been long over at that point had Lalime not made his seemingly 100th "barely" save of the game. I have never seen a goalie not control a single shot the whole game and be fortunate enough to only give up 1 goal. Those damn pucks were popping everywhere off of him but in the net.

No. What I am saying is that Ottawa cannot beat New Jersey if they both play their best.
