sounds pretty cool and i hope other companies do the same like Square releasing FFX: International for a greatest hit instead of the normal FFX

They're just using the Japanese PS2 port of the upgraded Xbox version of the original PS2 version as the US re-release of the PS2 version, that's all.

Xbox version wasnt that graphically superior to PS2 one anyway. Plus extra Maria quest, wasnt worth getting the game, if you allready have PS2 version.
It will be interesting to see if people's hatred of Greatest Hits versions is outweighed by potential extras. The only previous time I recall this happening was when Capcom added Dual Shock support to REC.
People's hatred of Greatest Hits versions? Since when have people hated a good game at a cheaper price? Do you mean people who desire the original case instead or is their significant disadvantages to it that I dont know about...

The casing of course.
Personally I found the Maria quest worthless and having the option to turn the grain filte roff from the beginning is lame sine the grain is excellent for the games look and atmosphere.
On the plus side, with the new lower price, more people should be able to get around to purchasing and playing it which is always good.
Yup. I hate the GH casing, especially on the PSX. I will probably be getting this eventually though. How was the Maria quest?Originally posted by Chojin
