charlie sheen flicks.
So that I may redeem myself and subject myself to the ridicule that I have often placed upon the movies that many of you guys seem to like, I will now expose movies that I enjoy/enjoyed that are, in reality, absolute garbage.
Feel free to post your guilty pleasures too (try to keep it movies you pervs).

I wouldnt call most of the movies Master listed, guilty pleasures? I just think they are good movies, so why should I feel guilty for liking them?
I would gladly take film from that list over some over rated drama film anyday.
despair, they're called guilty pleasures because they're really not good movies (in terms of good movie-making and story telling). all you do is sit back and watch. there's no thinking or reflecting involved.
anyway, my guilty pleasures are...
friday the 13th series
nightmare on elm street series
van damme movies
chow yun fat movies
b-movies
scorpion king
jet li movies (especially the one)
blade
blade 2
rocky IV
xXx
fast and the furious
and many more.

Well, I still just rate my movies as good or bad. I dont feel guilty for watching Mortal Kombat, and not choosing to watch English Patient. I pretty much watch movies that interest me, and if I didnt like the film, I will just put it into hated it category
Since I dont consider many films listed above bad, or not worthy to compared to other films, just because many of them are horror movies or action films, I wont call them guilty pleasures

cheap horror flicks...the cheesier the better
I also will watch just about any of the early 90s kids movies I come across when they are on...these have recently included The Sandlot, D2 The Mighty Ducks and Home Alone 1 & 2
I just read Despair's last post and didn't realize it was a double post until MY HEAD EXPLODED!
*somebody post that animated GIF from scanners*
The first part of what you said I agree with, but I may as well label 95% of all my favorite HK action flicks as "guilty pleasures" using the second half of your logic.Originally posted by Nash

Despair's right on this one. A guilty pleasure is something that you should be embarrassed having others know about, like enjoying Boy Meets World (which I know isn't a movie... and yes, I do occasionally watch the newer reruns, but mostly because Trina McGee-Davis is gorgeous). I wouldn't consider The Evil Dead series or Jet Li movies (huh?) as a guilty pleasure.
...and Killer Clowns from Outer Space? Geez, that's up there with liking Frogs or Virus. Definitely qualifies as a guilty pleasure.
