    I'm not sure about the camera...on the one hand, you have to do an awful lot of manipulating it yourself. but on the other, I can't see how preset camera angles would be any sort of improvement. You need to see everything from multiple angles. The only compromise would be to have the camera pulled back to take in everything at once, but that would have the effects of making it difficult to judge depth, and sucking alot of the drama out of the game's visuals.

    Well, if you ever feel like using it, you can just put in:

    After playing the demo 50 times I finally bought Shinobi yesterday, and I agree with everything you just said. Every time I hear somebody say those things, I just wanna say "shut up, wuss. Go play Kirby."

  3. I think the camera was pretty much perfect as it is.... the only improvement I would make would be to offer more camera manipulation/control while hanging on a wall. I would not have minded being able to look up and down for example.....

    That would have been helpful the first time though a level with a lot of vertical travelling (especially the warehouse one) when you don't quite know where you're going and what the layout is.

    That was not a big deal though because once you did learn the level it was easy to breeze through it in no time at all.

    Yeah, totally. But I understand why they didn't do it - they'd have to make the choice of either having the camera collide with the wall, or take Hotsuma out of the frame. Having the camera swing above and below him would have been okay, though.

    Well, I still dissagree, but it would be really pointless to continue arguing about this

    I will try to adapt, and spend more time with it. DJ played majority of the game, so my personal experience with it was less extensive.

    I hope you get used to it and finally win the game Despair. I do think that practice and time spent playing may help a lot. Finally finishing it and beating the last boss is quite rewarding.

  7. Well, Most of the game I played were some Boss fights later in the game, and couple of levels, like the Fire Level before the Fire Moth Demon.

    I want to win the damn game too. Its just not like me, since I do like it, and Camera is the only thing that bothers me.

  8. Do you guys use the default controls? Just wondering...I changed the Camera button to L2 and the lock on to R2...it makes holding the controller more comfortable...I also hardly use any Makimono (I want the points beotch)

  9. I use and quite like the default controls..... but I toggled the lock-on type to CLICK instead of HOLD.

    It was when I did this that I acquired real ultimate power.




    I rarely used Makimono as well.. but I experimented with it a bit and it can be quite useful. Btw, if you are playing for score and don't mind cheating a bit. You can hold on to all the Makimono you picked up in the level even if you (are about to) die in the boss fight by pressing pause before you die and restarting the boss fight. If you don't do this and actually die you get a single Makimono (default).
