I own a small business building computers and selling hardware. I used to be TNL's senior editor and was on the staff since 1999-2002 believe it or not. Just for kicks, I'm the sales supervisor for Office Depot, who are at times a pain in the ass to work for. I also run a website called black hal0 inc., a website with obnoxious humor, game news, pc tweaks, and other stupid stuff. I need to go back to school.

Ironic that this thread appeared today, and that I was one of the first to reply.

Ironic in that, just 20 min. ago, I quit my job- damn bastards were gonna cut my pay way below the price of my labor.

I got kicked out of my house and quit my job in less than 2 weeks. That takes TRUE skillz!

I work in the photography department of The Huntington, a world-renowned research institution.

I basically reproduce material in the collection for research purposes: rare books, manuscripts, and archival photographs and negatives. Every day I come across something mind-blowing; today it was a series of letters by William Tecumseh Sherman. The collection has everything from illuminated Chaucer manuscripts to original drawings by John James Audubon to engravings by William Blake. The pay isn't the greatest, but the experience is fantastic. It's almost like working in a museum. I tried to get a job here for four years, and it was worth the wait and perseverance.

Oh, I have a degree in Radio Broadcasting....there are thousands of college graduates who never end up working in the field of their degree of study. I've got a friend who was a Journalism major who now works for Amtrak - and loves it.
